Individual Therapy:

As an individual therapist, I believe that building a relationship is key to the therapeutic process. I am a strengths-based therapist and operate from a place of utilizing and cultivating your strengths while helping you to better understand yourself.

I work with you to understand your definition of what brings you to therapy as well as what you would like to work toward. Our work may include cognitive or behavioral work, narrative therapy (learning more about yourself through telling your own story), and identifying deeper meaning, all depending on the individual.

Couples Therapy:

As a couples therapist, I believe in helping the couple to attain whatever goal it is that they would like to reach together. Whether it be to deepen communication, increase intimacy, decrease conflict, or understand each others' pasts and how they've impacted the current relationship, any relationship priorities are welcome.

I also specialize in helping couples who have different cultural backgrounds or heritages from one another. Every couple has a distinct set of norms from which they operate and that work specifically for them. I truly enjoy helping you to understand the unique beauty of your relationship through better defining and creating the framework that will work best for both of you.

Family Therapy:

As a family therapist, I believe in helping to give all members of the family a voice while bringing unity to the group. Family life can be difficult; discussing and dealing with matters like addiction, divorce, behavioral issues, estrangement, and communication, for example, can feel overwhelming. My goal is to help you bring issues that may have been swept under the rug to light in a healthy and strengths-based method.

Additionally, family therapy can be very helpful for individual therapy cases in which one member of the family is struggling with something specific -- such as bullying, insomnia, depression, anxiety, addiction, or past trauma. Bringing the family into the room in order to gain insight and provide support can be very healing for not only the individual, but also the entire family.

Adolescent Therapy:

Adolescence can be a very challenging time in which a great deal of support is needed for young adults to grow in a healthy, authentic way. I work with individuals who are struggling with matters such as self-esteem, bullying, behavioral issues, addiction, difficulty with family transitions, depression, and anxiety.

Our work together will often times include a creative approach to helping you to develop your own unique voice, while providing you with a safe space to discuss the challenges you're facing.
