THE PRACTICAL PIECE OF THERAPY
We are trained in anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, EMDR & marriage and family therapy. We help our clients process and heal from past traumas while teaching them clinical tools they can apply to everyday life on an individual and relational basis.
THE PERSONAL PIECE OF THERAPY
We help our clients learn how to listen to themselves and find the answers they’re seeking within themselves. We show them how to turn inward to find the guidance they need to feel confident trusting themselves and listening to their hearts. That way, they can communicate in their relationships in an honest, direct, and heartfelt way.
If you want to bring the truest expression of who you are into the world, we can help.
OUR PROCESS TO PEACE
When was the last time you asked yourself, “How am I feeling?” If you can’t remember, then it’s probably been too long. If we want to get to a place where we feel peaceful, purposeful, and lit up by our lives, then we need to bring our awareness back to how we’re doing right now in the moment.
Knowing how to honor our feelings is the first step in learning how to stand up for who we are, so we can step into the truest expressions of ourselves and what we want for our lives.
While feeling our feelings can be hard and overwhelming at times, there is a way through. By learning how to explore your story and any past trauma with intention and compassion, we can help you find clarity and feel free enough to see who you are outside of your experiences.
The beautiful part of all of this is that you get to decide how you see yourself, your relationships, and the world around you. And maybe it’s time to see the world in a whole new light. Therapy can provide a safe space to feel all of your feelings without judgment.
So step into a space where all of your feelings - past and present - will be held, witnessed, and honored. And where any limiting beliefs will be transformed into life-giving affirmations.
Isn’t it about time you came home to you?

We are non-judgmental, honest, and collaborative in our approach.
We like to connect in a genuine and heart-centered way.
We create safe spaces for our clients to open up and share.
It’s our job to help you figure out how to better connect with yourself so you can tap into the knowing, guidance, and answers that already live inside of you.
We look for both clients and team members who are open to taking feedback and applying it to their lives, are open to learning, and want to continue growing, evolving, and increasing their self-awareness so they can experience bright lives full of peace, passion, and purpose.
We do this work because we believe in being, saying, doing, loving, and living more.
I am a firm believer that there is always more to learn. It’s what has led me from social work to marriage and family therapy to creating my own practice. I’m a believer in people and care about their stories being heard. Throughout the years, I’ve been fortunate enough to work in various settings and hear peoples’ stories in the moments when they needed someone to listen. I love this work because it’s always evolving; no day is ever the same. And when it comes down to the work, I’m at my best working with clients who are open to growth, increasing their self-awareness, and gaining insights to help them move forward.
BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE: I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). I am also a certified EMDR trauma therapist. Having spent much of my life in California and Colorado, I have worked for Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Denver, and various educational settings. In addition to practicing therapy full-time, I am a professor and a clinical supervisor (LCSW and LMFT) at Denver Family Institute. My experience is broad and vast, and each environment I’ve worked in has helped me gain new insights that I apply to my practice working with individuals, couples, families, and adolescents. I love helping clients discover their authentic selves so they can live full lives and find emotional safety within themselves and their relationships. This work has been incredibly meaningful and has helped me on a personal level as well.
FUN FACTS I have a background in theater and creative writing, and, as a result, helping people find their voice is one of my greatest passions. I’m a mom to a brand new human and a mini golden doodle named May May, who is in the process of being trained as a therapy dog (and when I am doing non-virtual sessions, she often joins me, which clients love!).

I am someone who has always been drawn to people and their stories. I have found strength in living authentically and honestly, and helping others do the same is a passion of mine. I believe that being able to support and walk with individuals, couples and families through their journey towards healing and growth is one of the greatest honors there is, and I try to approach therapeutic work from a strengths-based and collaborative perspective.
BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE: I have my master’s degree in counseling and prior to joining SLB therapy, I interned at Aurora Family Services, a family therapy training institute in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, which concentrated on providing services to underserved populations. Life then led me to Colorado, where I worked in the field of adoption for a decade, supporting prospective adoptive parents in growing their families and expectant mothers making one of the most difficult decisions of their lives. The process of becoming a mother myself underscored the all-encompassing journey of new parenthood, and inspired me to pivot from a social work role to a therapeutic one. I have trained through Postpartum Support International, and I strive to support others as they embark on their therapeutic journey, whatever challenges they might be facing.
FUN FACTS: I am a prolific knitter and cross-stitcher, and one of the ways I show love for others is through yarn. I am working to contain my “stash,” which shares space with me in my home office, and often tempts me away from finishing whatever project I’ve got on the needles. I am lucky enough to be a mom to both a tiny human and a medium sized dog, Mac, who was diagnosed with lymphoma four years ago and has far outlasted his original prognosis.

“Sarah is an incredible therapist. I have known her many years and she has guided me to deeper understanding of myself and my place in the world. I will continue to refer her to anyone who is willing to dive deeper within themselves and do the work necessary to benefit from Sarah’s incredible gifts. I am eternally grateful for her help along my path — in business, relationships, self-love, and compassion for others.”
We believe that what you seek is seeking you.
And we are always seeking new team members who resonate with our philosophy, process, and practice and who want to be a part of our mission of helping clients better connect with themselves and live full, purposeful lives.
